Power Maxed Racing Celebrates Silverstone Success as Dexter Patterson Secures BTCC Title

It was a weekend to remember for Power Maxed Racing at Silverstone, as the team celebrated race victories, podium finishes and a championship title during the penultimate round of the 2026 British Touring Car Championship.

With just one event remaining in the season, the four-car Power Maxed Racing Audi S3 squad arrived at Silverstone with championship ambitions across multiple categories. By the end of the weekend, one of those titles had been secured, while two more remain firmly in contention heading into the Brands Hatch finale.

A Weekend that Started at the Front

The weekend got off to a strong start, with Mikey Doble setting the second-fastest time in practice before going on to secure pole position in qualifying.

Doble’s pace continued into the Qualifying Race, where he took victory from team-mate Aiden Moffat. The result gave Power Maxed Racing a front-row lockout for Race One, setting the stage for another impressive performance from the LKQ Euro Car Parts-backed Audi pair.

Moffat made the most of pole position in Race One, taking the chequered flag to secure his first overall BTCC victory of the season.

Doble followed behind to complete a Power Maxed Racing one-two.

The result was another demonstration of the pace of the Power Maxed Racing Audi S3s and provided a memorable moment for everyone involved with the team and its partners.

More Success in the Wet

The final race of the weekend brought a completely different challenge, with heavy rain creating difficult conditions around the Silverstone circuit.

Starting from pole, Moffat produced another strong drive to finish third overall and claim victory in the Independent classification.

That result added another podium to the team’s weekend tally and further strengthened Moffat’s position in the Independents standings.

While the conditions made the final race a challenging one for the rest of the team, the result capped off a weekend that had already delivered plenty of positives for Power Maxed Racing.

Dexter Patterson Secures the Jack Sears Trophy

Away from the race wins and podiums, the biggest championship moment of the weekend came from Dexter Patterson.

The Steel Seal with Power Maxed Racing driver secured the 2026 Jack Sears Trophy Championship at Silverstone, wrapping up the championship with three races of the season still to run.

Patterson has enjoyed a strong first season with Power Maxed Racing, combining consistent performances with strong qualifying pace throughout the campaign.

His Jack Sears Trophy success is particularly significant for the team, with Patterson’s title marking Power Maxed Racing’s fifth Jack Sears Trophy championship.

It continues a long association between Power Maxed Racing and the award, while providing another major milestone in Patterson’s developing BTCC career.

With the title now secured, Patterson can head to Brands Hatch with the pressure of the championship battle behind him and the opportunity to finish his season on a high.

Two More Championships Still to Fight For

While one championship has been secured, Power Maxed Racing isn’t finished yet.

Mikey Doble heads to the Brands Hatch finale leading the Independents Trophy, with a 25-point advantage over his closest challenger.

Meanwhile, LKQ Euro Car Parts with Power Maxed Racing leads the Independent Teams’ Championship by 33 points.

That means the final three races of the season will still have plenty at stake for the Power Maxed Racing squad.

Brands Hatch will provide the final opportunity for Doble, Moffat, Patterson and Nick Halstead to add to the team’s 2026 achievements, and there are still championship trophies to fight for.

Looking to the Future

Silverstone wasn’t just about the 2026 BTCC championship battles.

For the first time, fans at a BTCC weekend were also given the chance to see the new PM1 in action, with the car completing demonstration laps around Silverstone across the weekend.

Driven by Mikey Doble, the PM1 provided an early glimpse of the car that will form the basis of the new PM Junior Championship in 2027.

The championship represents an exciting new chapter for Power Maxed Racing, creating a pathway for young drivers aged 14-17 to compete in a purpose-built environment.

With the 2027 season already taking shape, Silverstone offered a glimpse of what is to come both on and off the BTCC grid.

One Round to Go

From a front-row lockout and a race-winning one-two, to another podium and an outright championship title, Silverstone proved to be another important weekend for Power Maxed Racing.

With Dexter Patterson now a confirmed Jack Sears Trophy champion and two further Independent championships still up for grabs, all eyes will turn to Brands Hatch for the final three races of the 2026 BTCC season.

And with the PM1 also making its public debut, the future of Power Maxed Racing is already beginning to take shape.

One championship secured. Two more still to fight for. One final weekend.
