Power Maxed Racing lined up at Croft

Power Maxed Racing Strengthens Championship Challenge with Croft Victory

Mikey Doble claimed victory in the final race of the weekend at Croft, securing another Independent win and extending his lead in the Independents Trophy as Power Maxed Racing strengthened its position across the 2026 British Touring Car Championship standings.

Power Maxed Racing leaves Croft with plenty of positives following a dramatic three-race weekend at the North Yorkshire circuit.

The four-car Audi S3 squad battled through changing conditions across Rounds 22, 23 & 24, with Mikey Doble taking race victory for LKQ Euro Car Parts with Power Maxed Racing, while Dexter Patterson continued to extend his advantage in the Jack Sears Trophy for Steel Seal with Power Maxed Racing.

With just two rounds remaining in the 2026 season, both championship campaigns are firmly in contention.

Doble Delivers Croft Victory

Mikey Doble produced the standout result of the weekend, converting pole position into victory in Race Three and securing another Independent win.

Doble and teammate Aiden Moffat locked out the front row for the final race after the reverse-grid draw, giving LKQ Euro Car Parts with Power Maxed Racing a fantastic opportunity to fight for victory.

Doble made the most of it.

The Audi S3 driver led the race to the chequered flag, recording the fastest Independent lap in the process with a time of 1:21.975.

The result sees Doble extend his lead at the top of the Independents Trophy to 33 points heading into the penultimate round of the season at Silverstone.

It was a strong recovery after a difficult qualifying race had seen Doble drop down the order to 21st. He bounced back in Sunday’s opening wet race to finish ninth before taking tenth in Race Two, setting himself up for the opportunity to fight for victory in the final race.

This time, he delivered.

Strong Weekend for Moffat and LKQ Euro Car Parts

Aiden Moffat also enjoyed a strong weekend at Croft, qualifying seventh before finishing sixth in the qualifying race.

The Scot continued that form in the opening wet race, climbing to sixth and taking the Independent win.

A ninth-place finish followed in Race Two after a five-second penalty for exceeding track limits, before Moffat rounded out the weekend with a sixth-place finish in Race Three after starting from the front row alongside Doble.

The combined results from Doble and Moffat have further strengthened LKQ Euro Car Parts with Power Maxed Racing’s position at the top of the Independent Teams’ Championship.

The squad now holds a 27-point advantage heading into Silverstone.

Patterson Extends Jack Sears Trophy Lead

For Steel Seal with Power Maxed Racing, Dexter Patterson produced another impressive recovery across Sunday’s three races to further strengthen his position at the head of the Jack Sears Trophy.

Patterson qualified 16th and started the qualifying race from the same position, with the team continuing to work on the balance and performance of the Steel Seal Audi throughout Saturday.

The wet conditions in Race One played into Patterson’s strengths.

Starting 16th, he quickly moved through the field and reached ninth before an unfortunate incident involving teammates dropped him back down the order.

Despite the setback, Patterson continued to fight and eventually finished 19th on the road, later being classified 18th following a penalty for another driver.

Race Two brought dry conditions and a return to strong pace.

Starting on the soft tyre, Patterson made a strong launch and continued to make progress throughout the race, finishing 12th and setting the fastest Independent lap with a 1:23.014.

That result put him into the reverse-grid draw for Race Three. With ball 10 drawn, Patterson started the final race from 12th.

Running the hard tyre, he once again showed strong pace and battled his way through the field while avoiding several incidents around him.

He crossed the line in ninth before receiving a five-second penalty for exceeding track limits. Following a further penalty for another competitor, Patterson was promoted to eighth position.

The result further extends his lead in the Jack Sears Trophy to an impressive 118 points with two rounds remaining.

Halstead Continues to Make Progress

Nick Halstead continued his progress with the new Power Maxed Racing Audis across the weekend.

After qualifying 23rd and starting the qualifying race from the same position, Halstead finished 21st in Race Two before making further progress in the final race to take 17th.

The weekend represented another positive step forward for Halstead and the team, with the balance and performance of the Audi showing further improvement in Race Three.

With more running under his belt, the focus now turns to continuing that development through the final two rounds of the season.

Silverstone Next as Championship Battle Intensifies

The Croft weekend has left Power Maxed Racing with three significant championship targets heading into the penultimate round at Silverstone.

Mikey Doble leads the Independents Trophy by 33 points.

LKQ Euro Car Parts with Power Maxed Racing leads the Independent Teams’ Championship by 27 points.

Dexter Patterson leads the Jack Sears Trophy by 118 points.

With Silverstone next on the calendar before the season finale at Brands Hatch, the team will be determined to maximise its championship positions and head into the final weekend with everything still to play for.

The next stop is Silverstone, 25-27 September.
