Four Cars, One Podium, One Trophy: A Standout Weekend for Power Maxed at Donington Park
It was a weekend to remember for Power Maxed at Donington Park, as all four Audi S3s carrying our branding delivered a standout performance across Rounds 19, 20 & 21 of the 2026 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship. With two Independent race wins, a first podium of the season for Aiden Moffat, and the Jack Sears Trophy secured by Dexter Patterson, it was exactly the kind of weekend that makes being on the side of these cars so rewarding.
Returning to the GP Circuit for the first time this season, after the team raced the National Circuit back in April, the stage was set for a competitive weekend as the championship enters its closing stretch.
Strong Pace From The Start
Mikey Doble set the tone in Free Practice, going second fastest overall and showing exactly why the Power Maxed name is proud to be associated with this line-up. Qualifying brought mixed results for the LKQ Euro Car Parts with Power Maxed Racing pairing: Doble locked in eighth on the grid, while Aiden Moffat’s promising lap for second was disallowed for exceeding track limits, leaving him 14th.
Over on the Steel Seal with Power Maxed Racing side of the garage, Dexter Patterson impressed by climbing from 19th in Free Practice to ninth in qualifying, while Nick Halstead continued gaining valuable experience in only his second weekend back on the grid since returning at Knockhill.
Building Momentum Through The Races
The Qualifying Race and Race 1 saw steady progress across the board, with Moffat and Doble both picking up points, and Patterson putting in a strong seventh-place finish in Race 1.
Race 2 is where things really came alive for us. Patterson crossed the line sixth, claiming an Independent victory and continuing to close in on the Jack Sears Trophy. Moffat, meanwhile, kept building towards what would become the highlight of the weekend.
A Podium To Remember
Starting Race 3 from third on the grid, Aiden Moffat delivered one of his best drives of the season, crossing the line in second place to take his first podium of 2026 and an Independent victory. After the disappointment of losing a front-running qualifying lap, watching the car carrying our colours cross the line on the podium was a brilliant moment for everyone at Power Maxed.
Dexter Patterson rounded out a superb weekend by securing the Jack Sears Trophy, having scored points in all three BTCC races at Donington. It’s fantastic recognition for a driver who has shown real consistency all season.
Nick Halstead continued to build experience across the weekend, finishing 19th, 20th and 18th in the three races, valuable mileage as he works his way back up to full pace in the championship.
A Weekend That Delivered
Two Independent race victories, a first podium of the season, and the Jack Sears Trophy, all carried across four Audi S3s bearing the Power Maxed name. It’s the kind of weekend that reminds us exactly why we back this team and these drivers.
With the championship battle heating up as it heads into its final rounds, we’re already looking ahead to Croft for Rounds 22, 23 & 24. Here’s to more of the same.
