LKQ Euro Car Parts with Power Maxed Racing and Steel Seal with Power Maxed Racing enjoyed a competitive, yet dramatic, weekend in the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship at Brands Hatch Indy. The event was highlighted by a podium finish and two Independent victories for Mikey Doble, alongside impressive recovery drives from Aiden Moffat and Dexter Patterson.
Saturday’s Free Practice took place under warm conditions, where the team’s pace was immediately evident. Dexter Patterson finished an impressive second overall, with local driver Mikey Doble just behind in third. Aiden Moffat ended the session 13th, carrying a reduced boost allocation following his strong start to the season at Donington Park.
In qualifying, the Audi S3 package continued to show its potential. Competing in the first qualifying group, Doble secured seventh overall, while Moffat battled the boost deficit to qualify 19th. In the second group, Patterson maintained his form to secure eighth. During the qualifying race, Doble and Patterson held their positions to finish seventh and eighth respectively, while Moffat progressed through the order to finish 16th.
Race One brought challenging conditions as light rain began falling just before the start. The field elected to remain on slick tyres, resulting in a tense encounter. While Doble secured another seventh-place finish and Moffat fought to 17th, Patterson’s race ended in disappointment. Contact forced him into the gravel trap, causing a wheel to split in half and resulting in a DNF despite his promising pace.
Race Two saw a brilliant response from the team. Starting 17th, Moffat delivered a sensational recovery drive to finish fifth, gaining 12 positions. Patterson mirrored this determination, climbing 11 positions from 20th on the grid to finish ninth. Doble continued his run of strong points, finishing sixth.
The final race of the weekend saw Doble line up third on the grid. In front of a strong home crowd, he converted the opportunity into a hard-fought podium finish with third place. Moffat added further points in 10th position, while Patterson concluded a resilient weekend by crossing the line in 11th after another physical contest.
Leaving Brands Hatch, the team maintains strong positions heading into the next round of the 2026 BTCC season:
